Winter

Celebrate Christmas and New Year in Cancun. From December through February, expect warm weather and cooler evenings with low humidity. Enjoy numerous celebrations within the hotel over the festive season as well as beach parties, fireworks, and dancing till dawn in Cancun.

Spring

Sunny days and balmy nights offer the perfect weather conditions during the spring months. Visit in March for the Spring Sounds Festival and enjoy street parades and carnivals during Holy Week. The Spring Equinox at Chichen Itza is a must-see for a unique cultural and spiritual experience.

Feel the heat during the summer months. This time of year is best for spotting wildlife, including hatching sea turtles as they make their first journey to the sea. Warm nights also offer the best conditions for nightlife as party-goers dance till dawn.

  • On your way to our resort, you will encounter 16 speed bumps, which help us protect the region’s abundant wildlife.
  • Our road is not a straight line, as it follows the natural path originally traced by the cattle ranchers who once inhabited the area.
  • There are 50 wildlife crossings, including three aerial ones that allow animals such as spider monkeys, raccoons, and coatis—among other mammals—to safely cross.
  • In front of AMAI’s beaches lies the Puerto Morelos Reef National Park, covering a total area of 9,000 hectares. It is home to the second-largest coral reef barrier in the world.
