1979: Hilton Anatole opens
The renowned Hilton Anatole hotel first opened its doors in 1979 just north of downtown Dallas, Texas.
Our iconic establishment has since become a prominent landmark in the city that symbolizes elevated hospitality and a new era of sophistication to the Dallas hotel scene.
1981: Hotel additions
In 1981, Hilton Anatole began the development of a major addition, unveiling a 27-story tower containing 716 new guest rooms, Trinity Exhibit Hall, Verandah Athletic Club, and a seven-acre sculpture garden.
With its striking architecture and contemporary design, the hotel quickly gained a reputation for its grandeur.
1984: Noteworthy art
Guests can find two life-size elephants just outside the Chantilly Ballroom. Each elephant stands eight feet tall and weighs three tons.
These elephants were hand-carved in Thailand in 1983 and were purchased by the Crow Collection in honor of the 1984 Republican National Convention, hosted by Hilton Anatole.
Now, Hilton Anatole houses the largest art collection assembled for any hotel.
1993: Philanthropy (The Crystal Ball)
Since 1993, Hilton Anatole has been the resident host of The Crystal Charity Ball.
Known as one of the most prominent charity galas in Dallas, The Crystal Charity Ball raises funds and support for various nonprofit organizations that focus on improving the lives of children in need.
December 2023 marks our 30th annual gala for the organization.
Throughout the years, Hilton Anatole has been a staple hotel for well-known celebrities to enjoy their stay.
For music legends like Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Cher, and Stevie Wonder, our hotel has been a sanctuary for the crème de la crème of talent and fame.
These notable guests have sought refuge within the hotel’s accommodations, reveling in the exclusivity and world-class service that have become synonymous with Hilton Anatole.
2010: Key installation dates (The Nebula)
The Nebula sculpture at Hilton Anatole is a mesmerizing art installation that’s become an iconic feature of the hotel.
Created by renowned artist Reuben Margolin, Nebula is a breathtaking kinetic sculpture with dynamic motion and interplay of light and shadow.
While the sculpture adds an element of enchantment to the hotel’s atrium, Nebula also serves as a symbol of creativity and unique experiences that our hotel is committed to giving all our guests.
2016: JadeWaters opens
In the summer of 2016, our hotel expanded the seven-acre garden into a $20 million resort-style pool complex, offering guests an oasis in downtown Dallas.
The JadeWaters pool complex features a relaxing lazy river, 180-foot water slide, and full-service bar & grill exclusive to our hotel guests. This oasis has become a key amenity for family fun.
