Led by Executive Chef and Master Pizzaiolo, Dino Santonicola, another Naples-import, Cane Rosso adheres to the strict principles endorsed by the AVPN and serves the most authentic Neapolitan style pizza in the metroplex. Our fresh, never-frozen dough is made in-house every day, using all natural "OO" flour imported from Italy. The sauce for our pizzas is made from hand-crushed San Marzano tomatoes, and our mozzarella is pulled fresh in-house daily. Cane Rosso pizzas are thin-crust, but are most definitely not “New York style.” Neapolitan style pizzas like ours are meant to be eaten with a knife and fork and are crafted using only the highest quality ingredients available. Our pizzas are fired in our specially built wood-fired oven from Italy that reaches 900 degrees and cooks our pizzas in under 90 seconds for a delicate and light, slightly charred dough. Deep Sushi was founded in the fall of 1996 by a group of entrepreneur physicians who considered themselves sushi connosiours. One of the original partners had spent two years in Japan during a militatry committement and sampled sushi thoroughout Tokyo. Deep Sushi went from concept to grand opening in less than one year. When Deep Sushi opened, there were only a handful of sushi restaurants in Dallas. Names such as Makamotos, Yamaccuchis, and Mr. Sushi dominated the then established old school sushi scene at that time.

Deep Sushi offered a breath of fresh air, offering sushi in a much more lively and invigorating atmosphere in the heart of the entertainment district known as Deep Ellum. 
Deeep Sushi was an instant success and attracted nightly crowds of Dallas' up-and-coming professionals. It became a regular hangout of both sports professionals as well as the occasional entertainers who attended events in the Dallas area.

Staying true to those memories, we make everything to order, starting with our LaMian (hand-pulled) noodles to the decadent Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) for which we are celebrated.

To most people, the name Pecan Lodge is synonymous with BBQ. But to Diane and me, it goes deeper than that. While the name originated from my grandfathers ranch in Abilene, what we do is anchored in the memories of cooking with all our grandparents. So it’s not surprising what when we first planted our business in Shed #2 at Dallas’ Farmer’s Market, we went back to our roots. I used everything I learned about working an offset pit. And Diane made sure we honored family recipes instead of following the latest trends

After years of planning, living like college students to save what they could, and developing a compelling business model to raise the rest of the money they needed, their dream was born. Twisted Root Burger Company began in the flagship Deep Ellum location in late 2005. After several years learning the ropes of restaurant ownership, Jason and Quincy appeared on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri and business hasn’t been the same since. While opening nine other stores over the last seven years, including the first franchise in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2013, they’ve stuck to their roots and have used a hands-on approach to keep the food great in a unique atmosphere with tons of personality.
