Where local history meets contemporary style

Our 1900's building was once a department store owned by Consul Thomsen’s family. Today, we feature contemporary Icelandic design, a sauna and whirlpool, and exposed original stone walls. Find us next to the locally loved Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur hot dogs. We're in walking distance of day-tour bus stops and Harpa Concert Hall.

Where History Lives On

Our hotel stands in the city’s oldest district, where history and modern elegance meet. Once home to Consul Thomsen’s grand department store, the building was thoughtfully restored in 2018. Today, it offers personal service, timeless design, and a peaceful retreat, where every detail reflects the story and spirit of Reykjavík.
