Dhruv Hoon is Vice President, Development – India and leads Hilton’s development in India. He joined Hilton in April 2019.
Prior to that, Dhruv was Vice President, Hotel Development, Asia Pacific based at Marriott’s development office in India. His role involved development of Marriott’s various brands in South Asia and Vietnam. Since 2007, Dhruv held various responsibilities at Marriott, during which he successfully grew Marriott’s portfolio in India, Indonesia, Nepal and the Maldives. Dhruv was also part of the core team that started Fairfield by Marriott in South Asia and led development efforts for that brand in the region.
Dhruv also has hotel operations experience – he is an alumnus of the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development (OCLD) and recipient of the Rai Bahadur M S Oberoi Award for outstanding all-round performance.
Guy Phillips is Senior Vice President Development – Asia & Australasia for Hilton. Guy has been with Hilton since 2002 and in his current role is responsible for leading the development of Hilton’s portfolio of brands across the region. During his time with Hilton, Guy has built key development alliances and negotiated a broad range of transactions across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Guy has lived and worked in Asia for the past 25 years. Prior to joining Hilton, he held management positions for seven years with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Hong Kong and Jakarta, and prior to that, with Four Seasons and Hyatt in his native Australia.
Guy has an MBA from INSEAD and currently resides in Singapore with his wife and two sons.
Matt joined Hilton in August 2018 as the Senior Vice President of Development for Asia-Pacific and is responsible for overseeing Hilton’s strategic growth in the region. Matt is based out of Singapore.
Before joining Hilton, Matt was Global Head of Real Estate Operations and Head of Real Estate for the Americas for WeWork, a fast-growing “disruptor” company that provides shared workspaces with a strong emphasis on community.
Prior to WeWork, Matt rose through the ranks at Starwood Hotels & Resorts to become Senior Vice President, Global Development based in their U.S. corporate headquarters. In this role, he oversaw development in Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America, and was also responsible for global oversight of feasibility and deal approval processes. Matt also spent 10 years based in Singapore leading Starwood’s development efforts for Asia Pacific (ex-China).
