Sustainability
Eco-friendly lightbulbs are used for all lighting. Lighting and AC systems are integrated with Guest Room Management System to automatically turn off when rooms are vacant.
Water faucets and showerheads have been designed to regulate the amount of water they release per minute to meet sustainability standards.
Ingredients for toiletries are sourced from Siddhalepa (one of Sri Lanka’s leading ayurvedic-based medicinal companies supplying herbal remedies) and Frella International.
Soap is collected and re-processed using an innovative but simple heated method. The new soap is then distributed directly to the local communities who need it most.
Wastewater is treated by an STP plant and recycled for garden use.
Curtains remain closed by default to prevent solar heat gain, and must be manually opened.
We implement strict inventory control, temperature monitoring, and hygiene practices to prevent spoilage and cross-contamination, while partnering with farms and composting services to manage food waste and educate team members.
We collaborate with Yala National Park to support its development and wildlife, participating in programs like beach clean-ups, blood donation campaigns, and road construction, while also improving facilities at Patanangala Resting Area.
Looking ahead, we are planning a Ranger Training Program this year. This program aims to equip the Department of Wildlife staff and neighboring hotel teams with skills to enhance the guest experience within the park.
