Palatupana Entrance
Renowned for having one of the highest densities of leopards in the world, this entrance to Yala National Park is a wildlife hotspot. Encounter animals like elephants, wild boar, and buffalo against a backdrop of breathtaking landscapes. The wildlife is generally more habituated here, allowing for closer observation and a richer, more immersive safari.

Katagamuwa Entrance
Katagamuwa Entrance offers a quieter, more secluded route into Yala National Park. Galge Entrance
Galge is an exclusive, off-the-beaten-path area of Yala, offering a safari experience that blends wildlife viewing with a deeper connection to the local culture. The drive through rural village life and chena cultivation offers a unique insight into the traditional lifestyles of Sri Lanka’s rural communities. The area is less touristy, meaning guests can enjoy privacy and peaceful encounters with wildlife, including elephants, leopards, bears, monkeys, and numerous bird species.

Head Ranger Sajith Withanage
Before discovering his true calling in the wilderness, Sajith worked as a fashion designer in the UK. In 2008, he made the life-changing decision to leave the fashion industry to train as a guide in South Africa, earning FGASA Level 1 & 2 qualifications.
Developing a profound respect for nature, living in the bush has brought Sajith clarity and fulfillment, far beyond what city life offered. Today, he shares the wonders of the wilderness with others, advising them to leave their egos behind and let nature guide them.
