Experience the work of master artists

If you want to shop for artwork while in Las Vegas, the city's impressive gallery list will appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Whether you’re hoping to add to your collection or just enjoy appreciating art, make time to visit Centaur Art Galleries, the oldest gallery in Las Vegas. The well-curated selection features whimsical sketches from French Impressionists, natural history-inspired works from American artists, and contemporary multimedia pieces, among others.

If you do find something you'd like to bring home, the gallery has a very extensive authentication process and provides a unique offering to buyers. If your taste in art changes over the next five years, you can return the work for store credit to buy something new.

Get a deal on your favorite luxury brands

Take a look at a list of Las Vegas boutiques, and you'll notice that any of the designers who show up at Paris Fashion Week, also have storefronts on or near the Strip. If you're looking to snag luxury items without the extravagant price tag, head to one of two malls just outside the city: the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets or Las Vegas South Premium Outlets are some of the best places to shop in Las Vegas.

Most serious shoppers will want to visit the more upscale northern outlets, which offer a chic Rodeo Drive feel. There are more than 150 stores, ranging from luxury names such as Stuart Weitzman, Armani, and Rag & Bone to more commercial brands such as Lululemon and J.Crew. What's more, the Las Vegas North outlets are entirely outdoors, offering the chance to increase your steps as you up your style.

Don't think the Las Vegas South outlets are lacking, though. With more than 140 stores, it's nearly as big as its northern counterpart. The mostly indoor set-up makes it ideal for browsing Las Vegas boutiques on sweltering afternoons or the rare rainy day. This is the go-to spot for deals on labels such as Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren, Lucky Brand and Addidas, among others.

Discover treasures at Resorts World Las Vegas

If your tastes lean more toward under-the-radar brands with an edgy twist, head to the north end of the Strip and check out The District at Resorts World Las Vegas. With 70,000 square feet of retail space, this well-edited selection features everything from on-trend styles at celebrity-favorite Fred Segal to artisan jewelry from Mexico-based label Corso.

Keep your whole crew happy

If you're eager to explore the best boutiques in Las Vegas but your travel companion would rather visit casinos and take in the bright lights, head to the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort. You'll find a mix of stores you know (such as 7 For All Mankind or Sephora), plus lesser-known names such as Bauman Rare Books and Karma and Luck, which sells jewelry, accessories and homeware inspired by the Far East.

The non-shoppers in your group will be happy at the Grand Canal Shoppes, too. Just tell them to head to the complex's Museum of Dream Space digital art museum (MODS), Madame Tussauds wax museum or the racy Wild West-themed Atomic Stage Show.

Vintage treasures, local handicrafts and designer goods commemorating your Las Vegas trip will help you to make memories for years to come. What could be a better souvenir?
