The hotel website doesn't tell you the hotel is currently under massive renovations. The entire first floor is a mess and a construction zone. The breakfast area is in the hallway and conference room...

Hotel Renovations/Friendly Staff

We stayed two nights. The people were nice. It was under construction so breakfast was on second floor. Only about 8 tables, all hot food offerings were out, no coffee in sight, just grits, oatmeal...

Hilton overbooked hotel. We had no room even though we had a reservation confirmation number!

Usually when my wife and I visit New Orleans we stay in the slightly more expensive hotels - you know the kind that don't provide a microwave. Not anymore. Homewood Suites is now our preferred hotel...
