Our hotel in Naples' Chiaia neighborhood was originally built in 1870 — the building blends traditional and contemporary design elements. Castel dell'Ovo, Castel Nuovo, Galleria Umberto I, and Piazza del Plebiscito are all within three kilometers. Enjoy the coastal Italian sunshine in our solarium, and spend some time relaxing in our spa.

In 1870, our beloved hotel first opened as Macpherson’s Pension Britannique, named after its feisty and fabulous Scottish owner, Emilia Macpherson. Her charming establishment quickly became a haven for royalty, politicians, adventurers, and artists alike, including literary giants like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Virginia Woolf, and George Bernard Shaw.
