A 1,200-acre urban park in San Diego, California, Balboa Park was established in 1868 and is one of the oldest municipal parks in the United States! In addition to being home to museums and gardens, Balboa Park has an outdoor amphitheater called Spreckels Organ Pavilion that hosts concerts throughout the year. It’s also home to many significant historic structures such as Balboa Stadium (home of the San Diego Chargers) and The Prado (a Spanish-style shopping mall).
