Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton is a new enhanced guest booking experience - a first for a major hotel company - that enables guests to instantly confirm two or more connecting rooms when booking directly at Hilton.com or on the Hilton Honors app at participating hotels within any of the portfolio’s 18 world-class brands.

Thanks to Hilton, guests no longer have to wait or call the hotel in hopes of getting connecting rooms when they arrive. Guests can now easily book on Hilton.com or in the Hilton Honors App and receive confirmation. With a simple 3-step booking process, guests now have a better and more reliable way to book and instantly confirm connecting rooms.
With Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton you will know instantly upon booking that your group will have connecting rooms when you check in.
You can now book Confirmed Connecting Rooms in three easy steps:
  • Step 1: Identify how many rooms you’re looking for along with your destination and dates, and then choose your hotel
  • Step 2: When selecting a room, check the box to indicate that you’re interested in Connecting Rooms
  • Step 3: Select each Connecting Room at the desired rate and book your stay with instant confirmation

What is a connecting room?

These are two rooms (or more) connected by a locked adjoining door that can be opened by you and your fellow guests during your stay.

When and where is Confirmed Connecting Rooms launching?

Hilton launched Confirmed Connecting Rooms as a pilot in select hotel locations around the world in April 2021. Based on the positive feedback from guests, Confirmed Connecting Rooms has now expanded to all participating hotels across the global Hilton portfolio.

How many hotels within the Hilton portfolio will offer this product?

The majority of Hilton hotels within Hilton’s portfolio of 18 world-class brands will offer the ability to book Confirmed Connecting Rooms on Hilton.com or through the Hilton Honors app.

How can I modify a reservation with connecting rooms?

To modify a connecting rooms reservation, you will need to cancel your existing reservation and create a new one. Alternatively, you can contact the hotel and ask them to make the change.

Can I book connecting rooms that are Accessible?

This may be an option if the hotel has Accessible rooms that adjoin with other rooms. If you need an Accessible room, indicate your number of rooms and check both the Accessible and Connecting Rooms boxes to view availability.

If I’m looking for more than two rooms and I select the Connecting Rooms box, but the hotel doesn't have any Connecting Room combos with more than two rooms, what will happen?

The search will return “no availability” and suggest a new search by indicating: “We couldn't find # connecting rooms for those dates. We're showing you all available rooms.”

Is there an extra charge for booking a connecting room?

Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton may have a higher room rate that can vary by hotel.

When confirmed, will the reservations making up a connecting set of rooms share the same confirmation number?

Yes. You will receive one confirmation number for your Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton reservation.

You will also receive a confirmation email with the Confirmed Connecting Rooms icon next to each room that is connecting.

If I did not confirm connecting rooms at the time of booking, can I still request a connecting room?

Yes. You can request a connecting room even if you did not use the Connecting Rooms option on Hilton.com or within the Hilton Honors app. That said, the request will be subject to availability and confirmed at check-in. Can I place multiple credit card numbers down for the connecting rooms?

Yes, you can split the room charges across multiple credit cards upon check-in at the property. Once checked in, the hotel team member can process those additional cards upon request.

What is the maximum number of rooms that a property can connect?

The technology behind Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton was originally created for the Motto brand, differentiating itself against other hotel brands with its unique room designs that allow customers to connect up to nine guest rooms together. That said, on average across Hilton’s portfolio of brands, the most common customer request is to connect two or three guest rooms.

What should I do if I already requested a Connecting Room in a reservation?

This new booking experience was deployed globally in June 2021, so if you have a reservation in which you included a request for a connecting room, you can either cancel that reservation and book through the new experience, call the property to make your request to have the rooms be connecting, or wait to confirm the connecting room upon arrival.

How is this different than being able to Choose Your Room on the Hilton App?

The only way to ensure you have connecting rooms booked is to book Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton on either Hilton.com or the Hilton Honors app.

Can you book connecting rooms when redeeming Hilton Honors Points?

Yes. Members can redeem Hilton Honors Points for their Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton reservation.

Are Hilton Honors benefits awarded to each connecting room?

Benefits are awarded to the Hilton Honors member and one additional guest registered to the same room, based on the tier of the member who booked the reservation.

Can guests that confirm connecting rooms use Digital Check-In and Digital Key?

Yes, Hilton Honors members who book Connecting Rooms can use Digital Check-In and Digital Key. However, Digital Keys will only be accessible through one device. Guests can also request additional physical keys upon arrival.

If the guest is a Hilton Honors member, does the reservation earn Points for all booked rooms?

Hilton Honors Points will be awarded to the member that books the reservation on up to four rooms. Members can choose to use the Points transfer benefit and share Points earned on the reservation with friends and family.

If the guests split the charges against multiple rooms, will that affect how many Hilton Honors Points are earned for the stay?

Hilton Honors Points are earned based on the total folio on up to four rooms, including all Connecting Rooms, and unaffected by the number of credit cards used for the transaction. The earned Points will be applied to the Hilton Honors account on the reservation.

Can guests use the Points pooling benefit to book Connecting Rooms?

Yes, guests can pool Points to book Connecting Rooms. Points pooling allows Hilton Honors members to combine their Points with family and friends to book a stay. With this perk, a member (and up to 10 others) can combine their Points. For example, if a group of friends are taking a trip together and individually don’t have enough Points to cover their entire stay, they will be able to combine their Points, free of charge, into one account to unlock new redemption opportunities.

Can Hilton Honors members choose which rooms they would like to connect in the Hilton app?

Hilton Honors members should book their Confirmed Connecting Rooms on Hilton.com or through the Hilton Honors app. During the booking process, the guest can choose their desired room types (King, Queen, etc.) from what is shown as available as a connecting room option. Guests with a Confirmed Connecting Room reservation will not be able to change or modify their room number during the digital check-in process.
