The Art Institute of Chicago has showcased magnificent art collections for more than 150 years. Known for its Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and American paintings, the institute houses more than 260,000 works of art in 1 million sq. ft. of space.

Millennium Park is the world’s largest rooftop garden. Located in the northwest section of Grant Park, you’ll find public art, post-modern architecture, and an ice-skating rink. Numerous events and cultural activities are held here throughout the year.

A striking icon on state street since 1921, the Chicago Theatre was the first large movie palace in the United States. Its French Baroque style, magnificent lobby, and grand staircase provide ample reason for a visit. Enjoy stage plays, comedy, concerts and more throughout the year.

One of Chicago’s historic shopping destinations, State Street became famous when Frank Sinatra sang its praises in his song “Chicago.” Today, it’s home to a pedestrian mall and a variety of well-known stores. Visitors here can see the Chicago Archbishop’s Mansion, the Original Playboy Mansion, the Chicago Theatre, and more.

Grant Park consists of 300 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and is home to Buckingham Fountain, the Lincoln Statue, the Art Institute of Chicago, Museum Campus, and Millennium Park. It also hosts events and concerts throughout the year.

Lake Michigan is the only one of the five Great Lakes entirely located within the United States.

The Museum Campus is a pedestrian-friendly park consisting of 57 acres along the edge of Lake Michigan. It is home to three of Chicago’s most popular museums—the Adler Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Field Museum of Natural History.

The Loop is the second largest central business district in the United States. You’ll find a wide variety of shopping, dining, and cultural activities here.

Home to the Chicago Bears, Soldier Field is located within Grant Park.

Considered one of the Great Avenues of the World, Magnificent Mile is home to shops, restaurants, outdoor exhibits, and much more. Officially Michigan Avenue, this is a must-see during a visit to Chicago.

Historic Navy Pier is Chicago’s premier tourist attraction. Located on the banks of Lake Michigan, visitors can ride on a 15-story Ferris wheel, eat at lakeside restaurants, take a boat tour, watch a 3D movie at the IMAX Theater, visit the Chicago Children’s Museum, and listen to live music.
