Sea, Sand, and Sun
Hop on a boat to the Marietas Islands in search of Hidden Beach, a tucked away, secretive, stretch of white sand that can only be reached by jumping off the boat and swimming through a natural tunnel. Swim, snorkel—or if visiting in winter—search for Humpback whales, before making the comfortable, 20-minute crossing back to Punta de Mita. Spend the afternoon riding waves with a surf lesson in Sayulita, or splash in the waves at Playa La Lancha—a secluded beach that a 10-minute walk can only access through the jungle. You can also choose to stay closer to home and leave a two-mile string of sandy footprints on the beach right in front of the resort.
