  • Swimming pool hoist for pool access
  • Audio/visual fire alarm indicators throughout the hotel
  • Rooms accessible to wheelchairs (no steps)
  • Service animals are welcome
  • Assistive listening devices for meetings upon request

  • Doors with a minimum 32” clear width
  • 36” wide route around the room
  • Wheelchair turning space in the bathroom
  • Door handles (not knobs)
  • Closet rods no higher than 48”
  • Extended drapery wands with loop ends
  • Clearance under the sink that is at least 27” high so wheelchair users can pull under
  • Vanity faucets that can be operated with a closed fist
  • Side and rear grab bars at the toilet to allow transfer from a wheelchair
  • Shower valves that can be operated with a closed fist
  • A hand-held shower
  • Thermostat, lighting, and other controls that are lowered and do not require tight grasping

*Roll-in showers and accessible tubs/showers are in different room types. One room won't contain both.

 

Other items at the hotel that can be set up in most rooms:

 

  • Bed shaker for alarm clock to wake deaf/hard-of-hearing guests
  • TDD device for telephone communications
  • Door knocker strobe that flashes when someone knocks on the door
  • A visual telephone ring indicator
