Refund reversals

If you are seeing a “new” charge on your credit card or bank account, this is likely a refund reversal due to your financial institution closing a dispute that was previously made.

If you make an Advance Purchase reservation and then dispute the charge with your credit card company, rather than waiting for the refund from Hilton, it may cause a double credit on your account. A refund from Hilton and a refund from your financial institution will cause a “new” charge as a correction when the dispute is closed.
