Chef de Cuisine Valerio Pierantonelli
Chef Valerio, born and raised in Rome, began his culinary career at the young age of 15. Talent always supersedes age, and it was no surprise when he left Italy at 19 to gain more experience in cities like Nice, London, and Monaco. In Monaco, he worked at a restaurant owned by Italian football player Gennaro Gattuso and rubbed shoulders with royalty and glitterati. After managing restaurants along the East Coast of the US, one of his culinary highlights was a €20 million wedding at Grotta Palazzese in Puglia. Now, he writes a new chapter at Basilico in Asia.
